As a Seattle native and graduate of Seattle University with a degree in International Business, Patricia lives the values of utilizing education to serve. Patricia currently serves on the Albers School of Business Board of Directors and enjoys mentoring young students and encouraging the pursuit of fulfilling careers. She has worked in the consulting and staffing industry for over 20 years and is also the Founder and President of Valente Consulting.

Patricia has a great passion for philanthropy, founded the Valente Foundation in 2010 and subsequently, the Valente GIRLS Foundation in 2014. She believes in creating, inspiring and giving. Patricia is married and the mother of two young girls. She loves spending quality time with her family, skiing, paddle boarding, reading, yoga, writing and finding joy in each moment. Throughout the week you can find her in meetings, with her family, working with the Valente GIRLS foundation, at the lake and visualizing of her next adventure.

Dennis Newell

Executive Director

Dennis has resided in the Seattle area for 35 years. He is a brother, husband, father of two, grand father of four girls and is Executive Director of the Valente GIRLS Foundation. The non-profit organization was founded to inspire young girls to dream big and achieve by providing education and mentorships to help girls discover their power and reach their highest potential.

Following college, he spent over 40 years in sales and marketing including major roles with Shell Oil, a rewarding career with Costco Wholesale at the company’s corporate office and then accepted an offer to extend his career to include a role of great meaning.

Dennis’ major passion is helping others, bringing joy and enhancing their quality of life and that desire is reflected in his many years of community service. His current volunteer activities include Rotary Club, the UW Husky Band Foundation Board (which raises funds for instruments and uniforms) and the Department of Defense agency, ESGR. In his Employer Outreach role with ESGR, he presents the Patriot Award which honors and recognizes individuals and employers that provide exceptional support of their employees that serve in the Guard and Reserve. Other involvement includes the Puget Sound Military Vehicle Collectors Club which honors those that have served our country by providing public education and preserving historic military transport.
